You caught something wrong
Send us the URL, the claim, and the correction. If you have a primary source that contradicts what we published, include it. We update on the same day when we can verify the correction, note it in the article with the date, and move the modified date accordingly. We don't delete the original claim and pretend it never ran.
You have source material
Photographs from the hotel era, family images of the orange grove walk, Wuesthoff Hospital records, Rockledge Drive family histories, letters from the winter colony. Send a description first. If what you have fills a gap in the record, we'll work out attribution and licensing before we publish anything. Credit will appear exactly where the material appears, not buried in a footer.
You work with local collections
Brevard County Historical Commission, Rockledge Public Library, Wuesthoff archives, the State Archives of Florida field offices. We'd rather cite the primary source than a secondary that cites it. If you know where a document lives, tell us the collection and the box number. We'll get there.
What we can't help with
Current city services, property records, permitting questions, or utility information should go to the City of Rockledge directly at rockledgefl.org. The 1968 Hotel Indian River demolition is documented and that history is written, not open for revision.
